«Hearts, who does not love patterns with hearts?
There are so many that is difficult to create something new,
without copying the work of someone else. Playing with my yarn, many years ago I have found a nice and easy way to make a new Basic Heart pattern. This Basic Heart became very popular among the people I know. And, after years since I made it for the blanket of my first baby, I keep on having many requests of projects with this Heart,
and this is the reason why I decided to write its pattern.
Among the many models of squares that I usually do, I have chosen two simple squares to show two different ways to position the Basic Heart, which however it may be included in any base shape.
The easiness of this pattern will make you fall in love.

the list of materials required.

Materials needed:
In this project I have used the DK / 8 ply (11 wpi) yarn:
Bravo by Schachenmayr Original (100% Acrylic Yarn)
Each skein is ~50 g.=133 m. /1.75 oz=146 yds
Hook 6 /G (4.00mm).
Each ball of 50g/133m is enough for: ~75 Basic Hearts,
or ~20 Squares A (around the Basic Heart),
or ~25 Squares B (around the Basic Heart).
Square A’s size: 8cm × 8cm
Square B’s size: 7cm × 7cm

Any Yarn for Hook 6 /G (4.00mm), will be good,
if the length of the yarn is similar to the above one.
