This adorable 18-inch doll sweater is an easy and quick project to make, and will look great on your doll. It’s a good project for beginner knitters, too. You will need basic knitting skills, and some easy sewing is also required.

A tutorial to shape the back button rows is included in text and pictures.

The item(s) made with this pattern were meant to fit an 18-inch American Girl doll, as shown in the pictures. However, they will also fit similar dolls, such as Our Generation, My Life As, and others. I added a sizing chart to the pictures, to help you compare your dolls to the American Girl dolls.

For this pattern I used:

~ Mainstays 100% Acrylic yarn, 4-medium in the color Purple Multi, but you can use any other 4-medium worsted weight yarn you choose.

~ Knitting needles size: US 8 - 5.00 mm
