This hat is perfect for beginners. With a simple ribbed stitch pattern, this hat makes for a quick knit that you can work on anywhere. The Basic Ribbed Hat is worked bottom up and can be easily modified for a slouchy beanie by adding more length to the body of the hat.

Needles: US 4 (3.5 mm) and US 6 (4 mm) circular needles.

Sizes: Adult Small (Adult Medium) Adult Large

Finished Measurements: 20(22)23” or 50.8(55.88)58.42 cm circumference.

Yarn: Bernat Softee Baby DK weight (362 yds/140 g). The sample is knit in Soft Peach. About 150(175)190 yds required.

Gauge: 20 sts x 24 rnds = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch in the round.
