Knit from cuff to toe. This is a perfect way to learn to knit socks! Using a heavier weight yarn, there are fewer stitches, so each section works up quickly. The cuff includes an easy mock cable rib - no cable needle needed! The heel flap uses a garter edging that makes for quick pickups after turning the heel. Before you know it, you are at the toe ready for grafting with kitchener stitch.

The sample was knit in Malabrigo Rios colorway “Arco Iris”. One skein was sufficient to knit a pair of socks large enough to fit a woman’s shoe size 10.

This is a great pattern for a 1st sock!
