This pattern is for a basic slouch hat for an adult. The recommended Caron brand yarn makes a very soft and comfortable hat. This pattern uses a size J/10 (6mm) crochet hook and uses the double crochet, front post double crochet, and back post double crochet stitches. Also you should know how to make a magic loop - but if not you can youtube it and it is super easy! :)
