Sometimes the hardest part of getting started with socks is finding a basic pattern to work from. This pattern is designed to be a template that you can use to personalize your sockjust the way you like it! When you’re comfortable with the pattern, you can substitute your
favorite stitch patterns or techniques to make the sock uniquely yours.

This pattern will work for multiple sizes and in multiple weights of yarn. The sizes range from XXS to XL and are color coded for easy reference throughout. I have also assigned each size a yarn weight – using that weight yarn will create a medium width sock with enough
give to fit most feet. If you use one of the smaller sizes with a finer gauge yarn, you will get a smaller sock; if you use one of the larger sizes with a heavier weight yarn, you will get a bigger sock.

I have also included recommendations for needle sizes with the sock sizing/yarn weights. These are suggestions only, so if you are a tight knitter, go up a size or two and if you are a loose knitter, go down a size or two.
