The basic model of a triangular shawl/scarf. Knitted from mohair and silk. Very light (only 100 grams), warm and comfortable.
Gauge swatch (blocked):
16 stitches x 30 rows in garter stitch (knit in two threads) on U.S. 8 (5 mm) needles = 4x4 inches/10x10 cm.
Suggested needles:
U.S. 8 (5 mm) circular needles; or the necessary needle size to obtain gauge.
Suggested yarn:
Lace weight yarn (Mohair 75%, Silk 25%; 25g (0.88Oz) = 230 yards (210 m): 100g. Garnstudio Drops Kid-Silk used.
Special abbreviations and techniques:
k – knit
RS - right side
WS - wrong side
m1L (make one knitwise left) – pick up the strand between the previous and next stitch from front to back, knit through the back loop (1 stitch increased)
m1R (make one knitwise right) – pick up the strand between the previous and next stitch from back to front, knit through the front loop (1 stitch increased)
