These little hats are the perfect accessory for babies and toddlers – from newborn size up to around 5 years old. Quick to knit, the pattern is suitable for novice knitters who already know how to cast on, knit and purl.

Materials
Recommended yarn: any 5ply/sport weight yarn that knits to gauge
Each hat takes less than 1 x 50g ball
Suggested needles: Size 3.00 (US 2 1/2); 3.25mm (US3) single point needles (to knit flat) or the same size DPN’s or circular needle - your preferred needle for knitting small circumferences in the round
Large blunt sewing needle
Stitch markers

Gauge: 25sts and 34rows over 10cm (4”) in stocking stitch using 3.25mm (US3) needles
