Supplies needed to complete project:
about 40-50 yards of worsted weight cotton yarn
equal amount of size 10 crochet cotton (optional)
size F-5 (3.75 mm) crochet hook
smaller hook or yarn needle for weaving in ends
stitch marker or length of scrap yarn (optional)

The finished example measures about 3 3/4” x 5 1/2” x 3/4”.

This is a great alternative to all those synthetic kitchen sponges that we use for a couple of weeks then throw away. Use it in the shower or bath to replace a washcloth. Although the example doesn’t show it, a basic hanging loop is included in the pattern.

This simple pattern is worked using basic stitches. The pictured example was crocheted using Pisgah Peaches ‘n Cream worsted weight cotton yarn.
