The basket weave toque pattern includes large, medium and small but can be easily modified for different sizes by casting on more or fewer stitches in multiples of 6.

Additionally, it can be easily adapted for super bulky yarn.

This pattern is one of five in the Pandemic Panache series that were designed and developed over the last two to three years of the Covid pandemic.

Each of the patterns reflects a “mood” during various phases of the pandemic as it called for total lockdown, easing of restrictions and limitations, while being mindful of exposure and the potential impact on my immune compromised body. This creative effort was undertaken as a project to keep busy but also to produce products for donating to charity organizations.
