This is a very easy pattern for beginning knitters. I wrote it for a friend who is learning to knit. It includes seed stitch end borders and a simple basket weave pattern through the body. You can stop at 48 inches, or go on for a Doctor Who worthy length. Any bulky-weight yarn will do.
