As my oldest boy gets older, it becomes more and more difficult to find crochet designs he would enjoy. I have been forced to get creative! He absolutely loves his new gym back for carrying his basketball shoes, and my daughter wanted one too. :)

This basketball hoop backpack is perfect for any young basketball lover! It has the option of making a back pack or a cross body bag. It has one main compartment, with an easy option for an additional small pocket for a phone or wallet.

This pattern is a crochet pattern, with some basic tips for sewing lining. Sewing is not my expertise, but I’ve included step by step instructions as to how I lined and zippered the bag, which should be helpful.
