When you want to make socks, but fingering yarn seems intimidating… DK sock yarn is the answer!

The Basketcase Sock is named so because during our last lockdown here in Victoria, that is basically how I felt. I needed a fast finish sock, with a little bit of texture, but nothing complicated.
So they were born!

Yarn: Green Tea Yarns, Mangosteen 8, or other 8 ply sock yarn, 100g
Gauge: 22st x 32 rows in stocking stitch (sole of foot)
Needles: 3.5mm circular needles, DPNs if preferred.
Photo above shows size M ankle and EU43 length socks. This used almost the whole 100g skein.

There are 2 ankle widths to accommodate most calf sizes, and endless lengths with a foot size table provided in EU sizes and measurements (why is the EU sizing the only one that doesn’t change for men and women??)
