PATTERN NOTES
Be sure to keep yarn very loose on needles when working the Basketweave pattern. This is essential due to the inelasticity of the yarn. Hold yarn double throughout the entire project. An optional stabilizer lining can provide additional structure for the bag.

Universal Yarn Yashi (100% raffia; 40g/99 yds)
- 103 Natural – 6 balls
Needles: US Size 10 ½ (6.5 mm) 24” circular
US Size 13 (9 mm) 24” circular
Notions: Tapestry needle, pair of wooden handles 8” diameter, US Size H8 (5 mm) crochet hook, ½ yd of lining fabric (optional), ½ yd fusible heavy duty stabilizer (optional), sewing needle and thread (optional)
GAUGE
15 sts x 28 rows = 4” in linen stitch patt using smaller ndls.
16 sts x 12 rows = 4” in basketweave patt using larger ndls
