This blanket is knit in different colored blocks that follow the same stitch pattern with a border. Size and dimensions can easily be modified by changing the arrangement of the blocks.

The blanket is knit on US size 9 needles. Circular needles may be helpful to accommodate the large number of stitches.

I used the following colors of yarn:
3.5 skeins white
2 skeins aran
1.5 skeins soft navy

You may want to pre-cut lengths of yarn for the navy squares to avoid breaking the yarn for the border. (I cut about 47 yards per square.) Alternatively, you can work with more than one skein of navy.
