Exact gauge isn’t important but maybe will if you use this pattern to make a garment. Yardage quoted is deliberately wide ranging because it depends what you use this design for.

This stitch pattern can be used for so many projects. You can use any yarn, any weight, with appropriate hook size but I suggest not to use unusual yarn where you can’t see the stitch definition.

It will use up quite a bit more yarn than other stitch patterns.
