The scarf is worked lengthwise and begins with a mm larger hook for the first two rows, so that a straight edge is made that does not bow in once finished.

Scarf can be made with any yarn, but a short hair yarn is great to show the detail of the pattern rather than a fluffy or alpaca yarn.
