This crochet basketweave washcloth is made using a combination of front and back post stitches. A video tutorial for the entire pattern is available. Alternatively, you can watch videos for each of the special stitches. This pattern was designed for the Washcloth of the Month Crochet Along with Oombawka Design Crochet and The Stitchin’ Mommy.

Materials
King Cole Cottonsoft DK yarn (100% cotton, 3.5 oz/100 g, 229 yds/210 m) – 1 skein in 3462 Candy Floss, or approximately 229 yds (210 m) in any 100% cotton light weight yarn.
US Size G-6 (4 mm) crochet hook, or any size needed to obtain gauge.
Yarn needle.
Gauge
16 sts = 4” (10 cm) across in pattern for Rows 3-4. Exact gauge is not critical for this project.
