Hand knitted cotton spa cloths are wonderful. They also work well as face cloths, even for people with sensitive skin.
The diagonal basketweave pattern looks stunning from both sides. They are a real eye catcher, whether you choose to use a gradient yarn, thus creating diagonal colour stripes and texture or a solid colour with just diagonal texture. A pair makes decorative potholders as well.

Handgestrickte Waschlappen aus Baumwolle sind wunderbar, besonders für Menschen mit empfindlicher Haut auch als Gesichtstuch.
