Bass Strait Cowl
The Bass Strait Cowl uses lace, garter stitch, and a gradient colorway to create an undulating fabric. This cowl starts with a provisional cast-on and is worked back and forth in rows, then the two ends are grafted together in garter stitch.

Yarn Weight 4
Finished Size 46” circumference and 10” wide.
Yarn Cascade Yarns Color Duo (70% baby alpaca, 30% Merino wool; 197 yd 180 m/3½ oz 100 g): #214 Mariner, 3 skeins.
Needles Size 7 (4.5 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Size 7 (4.5 mm) crochet hook; waste yarn for provisional CO; stitch holder; tapestry needle.
Gauge 23 sts and 32 rows = 4” in charted patt.
