This is a pattern for a very unique shawl, that features two bobble stitches: on in the focal cable stitch, and one in the border stitch. Together, they make a very unique and interesting shawl. Both stitches come to us from Japan, but the symbols have been changed to those more familiar to Western knitters.

The bobbles have unique instructions that ensures that they will be on the correct side of the pattern, and show very visibly. They are made using a crochet hook. I think you’ll be happy with your finished product.

Skill Level: Intermediate - Intermediate + (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting). There are quite a few unique cables contained within the pattern.

The stitches are both charted and written out line by line, however, it is recommended even if you enjoy written patterns that you can also read a chart.

The wrap was expertly pattern tested by Sheree Kuntz who can be reached at: Shereekuntz@gmail.com, and the sample was knitted with Mrs. Crosby’s Hat Box yarn in colorway, Greystone.
