Bat Bowtie
This pattern is presented both as a written and charted pattern.
It is worked so that there are four points at the bottom of each wing. The “ribs” are single crochet but the majority of the wings are double crochet, so it is a pretty quick project.
It takes much less than 1 small ball of black #10 crochet cotton, roughly 5 ounces worth.
Tools: #2 steel crochet hook and one darning needle
Notions: one bowtie clip, which might be easiest be salvaged from an old clip-on bowtie (it was for me!).
OR
one bow tie kit (hook, eye, and slider) + sufficient length of ribbon called for by your kit. If you choose this option you might prefer to sew the bat to the ribbon with black button thread instead.
Resulting piece is approximately 3 1/4 X 2 1/2”. Please don’t worry about the gauge.
