This sock was first available as a mystery yarn and pattern kit from The deBoer Yarn Co. in December 2021. The pattern comes in three sizes for adults with approx 8.5, 9.5, and 10.5 inch circumferences when gently stretched (sock fit is largely a matter of personal preference, but good fit relies on negative ease so that the sock stays in place). There are instructions for lengthening the leg or foot of sock as desired.

This pattern is inspired by the use of knit and purl stitches put to great effect as one might see in gansey sweaters, as well as a bobble-like stitch set on a ribbed background, meant to evoke string lights or hanging holiday baubles.
