As you probably know, Bavaria doesn’t really have a known crochet technique. Jenny King, who lives in Australia, is attributed to naming this look as Bavarian crochet. We don’t really know why. It’s the use of front and the back post stitches that gives it this unique textured look. So technically I probably should rename it but chose to use this one for my current purpose….a FFAL, freeform along in the International FreeForm Forum group, Have Freeform Will Travel.

Because this is a motif, I didn’t list a gauge but the King Cole Riot only weighs .25 oz. The size of your motif will depend on what weight of yarn you use.
