Sizes: Finished chest circumference 38.5, 42 or 46.5 inches (98, 106.5, 118 cm).
Yarn: The pattern specifies two yarns from Rocky Mountain Llama Fiber Pool. Yarns from the pool are available mainly from the Co-op booth at fiber events. It may be easier to substitute another fingering weight yarn. NOTE: Yarn is used doubled throughout unless otherwise specified. The main color of the vest is black, with three additional colors for the patterned border.
Needles: Needles size differs for each vest size, as the vest is sized by gauge. Pattern suggests a 24 inch circular needle as follows:
- Size A: US 3 (3.25 mm)
- Size B: US 4 (3.5 mm)
- Size C: US 5 (3.75 mm)
- All sizes: 24” / 60 cm and 16” / 40 cm circular needles one size smalled than needle used for body
Gauge: This vest is sized by gauge, so gauge will determine finished size. Using garter stitch on larger needles:
- Size A: 22 sts and 44 rows = 4 inches
- Size B: 20 sts and 40 rows = 4 inches
- Size C: 18 sts and 36 rows = 4 inches
