This pattern is for a crocheted hat. It’s a fairly easy pattern to follow. There is a printer friendly version where it doesn’t have any pictures, and there is also a version with a bunch of pictures to help.

You can drop a couple hook sizes to make it smaller for children.

You can use a full skein if you’d like it a solid color, or you can change it up and do a couple different colors. It shouldn’t take more than 1 full skein though.

I used Caron Simple Soft because I really like the feel of it but you can use a similar yarn just as easily.
