If you are looking for a quick, easy hat pattern for a soft, squishy ball of bulky yarn, this may be the one for you!

This beanie works great with or without a pom pom and with less than 50 total rows to knit, it is a quick project and would be a great gift.

The pattern does call for the German Twisted Cast On, and there are lots of great tutorials out there if you aren’t familiar with it, but any stretchy cast on will work.

If you want a slouchy fit, you can add a couple of more rows before beginning the crown & gently block the body of the hat with a partially inflated balloon being careful not to stretch the brim ribbing.
