BCBC Bracelet
When I got really into knitting, I was still in college and didn’t have the ability to spoil myself and others with nice yarns all that often. I also didn’t trust myself to wear anything bigger than a hat made out of the nice yarns because I am a naturally messy person. This left me with lots of little bits left over from projects I had made for others with these nice yarns and I was running out of space to store them. I created the braided cable button cuff bracelet to be the perfect way to use up those leftover bits and show them off while also not risking spilling food and drink all over them. With the addition of add a fun button, you can create the perfect accessory and gift.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner.
Finished Size: The size is very customizable. Measure your wrist and add about an inch for the overlap for the button. The bulkier yarns may need more than an inch of overlap due to their thickness.
Notions: Cable needle, darning needle, regular sewing needle if your button has tiny holes, one button (.5”-1.25” depending on yarn).
Gauge: The gauge is very up to you on this one. Just make sure it is a fabric you like.
NOTES
These cuffs are knit with a small area for attaching a button to. They are knit back and forth with a simple braided cable pattern until the desired length is reached, then a button hole is created and there is some decreasing. This bracelet can be knit in any weight yarn and to whatever length you’d like. Feel free to stash bust as you please!
