This beautiful hat and mitten pattern has options for knitting to have the leaves face different directions, either growing up or falling down. It is an easy knit using only two colours for the design and one colour for the brim and crown. You will need to be familiar with stranded knitting.

The pattern is written as one size, approx. 21 inch circumference for the hat, 9.5 inches long. The brim folds up for extra warmth. Mittens are 10 inches long but length is adjustable.

I used Aran weight yarn. If you use another weight of yarn (worsted or DK) or knit tightly when doing stranded knitting, make sure to adjust either number of stitches or needle size to obtain gauge.

You can easily make this hat and mitten set using one skein of yarn with ample leftover. Make sure to secure long floats along back of work.

This hat and mitten set has not been test knit. Send any suggestions or questions to carolasheartstrings@gmail.com or to my Ravelry username: Cbaker259.
