Be Mine
Named for an off-season valentine delivery, Be Mine is a sweet, cap-sleeve pullover, worked almost entirely in Garter stitch. Knit loosely, its fabric is delicate and springy. I enjoy the simplicity of this design, of both its stitch and style. Its back-neckline dips lower than its front for a subtle romantic twist. Both bodice and sleeves are worked top-down, flat at first, then joined for the circular knitting of the lower bodice and ribbing at sleeve hems. The shaping of the lower bodice is made simply by varying needle sizes. Sleeves are knit separately with short rows at their cap for smooth shaping and ease in setting in. You’ll find this to be a quick and satisfying project with an elegant and versatile result. Enjoy!
