Be My Honeybee
I’ve wanted to use this honeybee in a sock for a while now, and when I saw this beautiful golden yarn from madeline tosh I knew this was the one. The color of this yarn is just stunning and the Seed Stitch on the instep and leg really bring out the highlights in the yarn. It reminds me of golden honey in the sun. No wonder the bees are hovering to get a taste!
These socks are worked from the toe up, with the arch expansion on the bottom of the foot. Pattern includes clear directions, and both written and charted directions for the honeybee section at the top of the leg. Skills needed are knitting in the round on two circular needles, left-leaning and right leaning decreases (described in detail), k2tog, p2tog, yarnover, slip-slip-knit, wrap and turn for knit and purl (described in detail), and knit 1 under (described in detail).
These also look great knit up in solid color yarn.
