The Be My Valentine Mitts are knitted using two skeins of fingering weight yarn, and five 2.75 mm (US 2) double pointed needles.

The main colour of the yarn is solid (in the picture I used Nako Solare #3782 or “ecru” and the heart are knitted with variegated yarn (I used Flotte Socke Primavera Stretch #1904 or “ember”) for the best effect.

The mitts are knitted in one size, and the pattern includes written directions and a chart.

The colourwork is stranded knitting carrying short floats.
