Beach Agate Sweater
Here’s the story with my sweater patterns: I’m not a sweater designer. I don’t have the skills to grade a sweater myself, and don’t sell enough of my (very few and very basic) sweater patterns to make a profit, after factoring in TE costs. With the conversation surrounding size inclusivity, which I am all for and all about, I found myself feeling uneasy about the size range in my sweater patterns so I’m pulling them out of sales rotation until a time comes when I feel like I can get them graded up a bit. I am so sorry if you wanted to make these sweaters and they weren’t sized for you, and I promise, if I ever again delve into sweater designing, my size range will be inclusive.
Size/finished measurements
Finished bust sizes: 32, 36, 40, 44, 50, 54”. Shown worn with 2” positive ease on Shannon. Measured after blocking. For full measurements, see schematic in pattern.
The Beach Agate Sweater is a top-down raglan, with a-line shaping. It’s meant to be worn loose and open (the fronts don’t overlap but come together in the front, allowing for a loose drape when worn or layered). I have a size 40” bust, and am wearing the 4th size. In order to have a sweater that fits like the modeled shots, we recommend choosing a size that will give you 2-4” of positive ease.
This is a fill-in-the-blanks pattern. Before you begin knitting, consult the table included, and fill in the blanks appropriate to the size you are making, corresponding with the letter referenced next to the blank space. This will, I hope, make the pattern easier on your eyes, and leave less room for error by accidentally following the numbers for the wrong size.
