I used crochet hook NR 3 (metric system), D/3 - US, 10 - UK, some chart tables say a little different, but that does not affect the size.

I used 100 % cotton. Laceweight, better fingering to sport for US, and 1, better 2 to 4ply yarn for UK. The yarn I used was in 4ply.
