Beach Hut Bag
This simple to knit, striped bag pattern was inspired by the beach huts at my favourite summer spots along the Norfolk/Suffolk coast.
This pattern is fairly quick to knit, using a double-knitting weight yarn and worked in garter stitch (knit every row) for the main bag and stocking stitch (knit 1 row, purl the next) for the handles.
Finished Size:
The main body of the bag is approximately 38 cm tall, including the handle and 34 cm wide.
Yarn:
4 balls of double knitting yarn. We used 4 x 50g balls of Camarose Hverdagsuld; 1 ball each of Ocean (A), Mork Lilla (B), Himmelbla (C) and Mintbla (D).
Extras:
110 cm of 1.5 inches /3.75 cm wide webbing, cut into two 55 cm lengths.
Lining fabric, approximately 80 cm x 40 cm.
Needles:
A pair of 3.75 mm needles (UK 9) (US 5)
