This pattern is for the mouse, the deckchair and parasol as well as all of the accessories and clothing shown here.

The pattern contains lots of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in English, using American crochet terms. All of my patterns have been independently tested prior to publication.

You will need:
Yarn of your choice. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your project will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used King Cole Cherished DK (equivalent to weight 3 / light worsted weight) and my finished mouse measures approximately 10cm tall. Please ensure that you use the same weight yarn throughout your project.

For the mouse & clothing (pages 4 - 12), you will need the following colours:

  • Main mouse colour - I used pale grey or cream (approx. 23.5m per mouse).
  • Nose / ears / feet / tail colour - I used pale pink (approx. 13m per mouse).
  • Trunks colour - I used green (approx. 7.5m per outfit).
  • Bikini colour - I used purple (approx. 11.5m per outfit).
  • Sunhat & Flip Flops colour - I used lilac (approx. 14m per outfit).

For the beach accessories (pages 13 - 22), you will need the following colours:

  • Armbands - I used orange (approx. 4.5m).
  • Shark Fin Float & Camera Colour - I used grey (approx. 9.5m).
  • Camera & Flamingo Beak Colour - I used black (approx. 5.5m).
  • Main Flamingo Colour - I used dark pink (approx. 25m).
  • Flamingo Face Colour - I used light pink (approx. 1.5m).
  • Bucket, Spade & Book Cover Colour - I used red (approx. 14.5m).
  • Sand & Ice Cream Cone Colour - I used light brown (approx. 9m).
  • Book Pages & Towel Stripe Colour - I used white (approx. 13m).
  • Towel Main Colour - I used green (approx. 15m).
  • Beach Bag Colour - I used lilac (approx. 6.5m).
  • Surf Board & Ice Cream Colour - I used yellow (approx. 31m).

For the beach furniture (pages 23 - 32), you will need the following colours:

  • Parasol Umbrella Main Colour - I used red (approx. 37.5m).
  • Parasol Umbrella Stripe Colour - I used white (approx. 18.5m).
  • Deckchair Frame & Parasol Base / Stand Colour - I used light brown (approx. 78m).
  • Deckchair Fabric Colour - I used yellow (approx. 23m).

Please note = The amount of yarn used will vary according to yarn weight, hook size and stitch tension so these measurements are only a rough guide. The pattern refers to the colours that I used, however these can be substituted for colours of your choice.

You will also need:

  • A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook.
  • A pair of 6mm black safety eyes per mouse.
  • Some toy stuffing.
  • Small amounts of black finer yarn or thread for adding the details to the mouse’s face (optional).
  • ‘7 count’ plastic canvas. I had a 26cm x 33cm sheet (that’s 10.25 x 13.5 inches) & I used roughly half a sheet. A higher count (that’s the number of holes per inch) will mean the plastic is more bendy so stick to 7 count if possible. If your plastic feels very bendy, you may wish to insert multiple layers of plastic.
  • Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and some stitch markers.

You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself.
Thank you.
