This pattern is worked in light weight (3) yarn. In the samples pictured, I used self striping yarn (Lion Brand Mandala). This pattern is worked from the long side down to the point so that each row gets smaller and quicker as you go along. The lace border is added at the end. It does take just a bit over 1 cake.
