Beacon
by Dawn Barker
Beacon, an exercise in organic pooling, is a large rectangular wrap with graphic patterning and exceptional drape.
It uses a yarn designed for assigned pooling, but no change in texture stitch is assigned to the accent color.
Instead, only one sequence of stitches is crocheted to explore the inherent patterning created by the color changes in the yarn.
Yarn: 3 skeins of a simple, high color contrast, fingering weight yarn engineered for assigned pooling.
Nightfall on Barker Wool BFL Fingering was used in the original.
Finished Measurements: approx. 68” wide x 17” tall.
Hook: E (3.5 mm).
Gauge: 1 pattern repeat = approximately 2.5” wide x 1” tall.
