Always loved the look of circular vests with the mandala style design on their back! This one can be a scrap buster project, changing colors when you will, or use an ombre or use a single color! The sky is the limit. Just have fun!

Small- large/My mannequin is a size medium so it will be longer. The photo of my sister shows how it looks on size large to extra large. Measurement across the back is 22-24”. It would be easy to adjust the size across the back before you put the arm holes in by adding a couple of extra rows of loops!

Bead stitch in this pattern=DC, YO and insert hook from front behind post of the DC, yo and loosely pull up a loop, yo and loosely pull up a loop, 5 times total, until you have 11 loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through 10 loops, yo and pull through the last 2 loops.
Front post double crochet=FPDC
HDC in back and third loop=Crochet in back and third loop (insert your hook into back loop, tilt your work toward you and you will see a smaller half bar/loop underneath. Insert your hook into that stitch as well. This gives your stitch a little bit more stability than using back loop only.)
3 DC cluster, 4 DC cluster=3 DC cluster/4 DC cluster=(yarn over insert hook into loop, pull up a loo hip, yarn over pull through two loops, yarn over insert hook into same loop, pull up a loop, yarn over pull through two loops, and repeat till you have four loops ( for 3 DC cluster), five loops on your hook,(for 4 DC cluster) yarn over and pull through all five loops, chain one to close.)
