This Christmas stocking is tapestry crocheted with a large hook and loose stitches. Lion Wool has been discontinued, but any feltable worsted fiber would work (but not superwash, which does not felt).

The stocking shrinks and felts like magic in a washing machine. The image shows stockings before and after felting. The alphabet included with this pattern allows the stocking to be personalized.
