A steel needle size 1 is the best hook to use for this design. You’ll need two oz each of two colors of the yarn. The purse is stitched in the round with the beads showing on the reverse side of your work. You’ll need three 35-gr boxes of size 8 seed beads in colors that work with the colors you’ve chosen in the yarn, plus a beading needle. The closure is 4 Velcro squares. The beads are loaded before stitching is started. Tip: if you make a mistake and add one too many beads, you can easily break the extra bead and remove. If you need an extra bead, you can just work a single crochet and sew the missing bead on later.
