Two bracelet patterns showcasing a simple and elegant chain of beads accented with lace fans. (I couldn’t decide which went better with the rest of the set, so I’ve included two designs in this pattern!)

To make the lace more delicate this design uses a 1.25 mm hook and size 20 crochet cotton. Size 20 crochet cotton is the same thickness as pearl cotton #8, or 4-ply sewing thread worked together. Any of these alternatives can be substituted.

This pattern begins with instructions on crocheting a chain of beads in a way that allows you to crochet along the sides of the beads.

The fans are crocheted in short rows and are worked one at a time along the chain. That means that the pattern can be easily adjusted for different lengths.

Variation 1 requires a multiple of 3 + 1 beads for the pattern to work.
• The example uses 19 beads and is 6” long (not including the clasp).
• 16 beads measures about 5” and requires about 13 yds of thread.
• 22 beads measures about 7” and requires about 19 yds of thread.
• 25 beads measures about 8” and requires about 22 yds of thread.

Variation 2 requires a multiple of 2 beads for the pattern to work.
• The example uses 20 beads and is 6.5” long (not including the clasp).
• 16 beads measures about 5.25” and requires about 16 yds of thread.
• 18 beads measures about 6” and requires about 18 yds of thread.
• 22 beads measures about 7” and requires about 22 yds of thread.
• 24 beads measures about 8.25” and requires about 24 yds of thread.
