A simple and elegant pair of earrings featuring a short chain of beads accented with a lace fan. The fan is crocheted in short rows.

To make the lace more delicate this design uses a 1.25 mm hook and size 20 crochet cotton. Size 20 crochet cotton is the same thickness as pearl cotton #8, or 4-ply sewing thread worked together. Any of these alternatives can be substituted.

This pattern begins with instructions on crocheting a chain of beads in a way that allows you to crochet along the sides of the beads.
