Beaded Knitted Turtle
by Dulce Isler
Thanks for looking at my pattern!
Items Needed
- 4 double pointed knitting needles size 2 (2.75mm)
- crochet hook size 2
- various beads, sewing needle, thread (optional)
- 80% wool / 20% nylon sock yarn - ANY color you like. I chose blue and green because it was made as a gift and those are her favorite colors
- stitch marker
- Premium Polyester Fiber Fill
- tapestry needle
This beaded turtle was made as a gift. I use a technique that I love where you knit in the round with double pointed needles to make a tube. The feel of the yarn along with the movement of the multiple needles makes me feel happy.
The body is made up of tubes; then there is the bottom of the turtle and then the shell. The shell is the only part that is crocheted and the rest of the components are knitted.
I added beading to the pattern for decorative purposes. You can decide whether to skip the beads, if you desire.
HAVE FUN!
Please leave feedback as to how the pattern was written; was it understandable, what was good about it, what was bad. Any input would be welcome.
Thanks!
Dulce
