This cute little sweater layette set is easy to knit. Since it’s a drop shoulder design the back is a square, the two fronts are rectangles except for the decreasing to shape the neck opening. Plus the Cap, Booties and now Mittens.
The bead design is a take off of the beading lace you would thread a ribbon through.
To make the newborn size takes 2-3 balls of Dreambaby. But since each person knits different I added a few yards to allow for extra rows or stitches.
If your gauge is off by a stitch or so, I really doesn’t matter. Babies come in all sizes and a litter bigger could be a little better. They grow so fast.
There is not alot of materials needed to knit this sweater set. Just needles, scissors and a darning needle, pus a few buttons. Not extra equipment needed.
Dreambaby or Sidar Baby yarns will require 2 balls, however Red Heart Baby and Bernat Baby only needs 1 because of the large amount in their put up.
The Pattern includes the Jacket as well as the Booties and Cap. All you will need is a cute baby blanket and your baby will be ready for any outdoor adventure.
