The Beadier Shawl uses beads to create a simple geometric pattern on a background of stockinette stitch. The beads give a delicious weight and drape to the shawl, adding some fun and sophistication. The narrow and asymmetrical triangular shape is created by working from one tip to the opposite side of the shawl on the bias, which helps to create interesting diagonal patterns in the rows of beads.
Gauge is not critical for this project, but will affect the size of the finished product and the amount of yarn and beads needed.
Materials needed:
-450 yds / 412 m of fingering weight yarn
-US size 4 / 3.5 mm 24” / 60 cm circular needles or size needed to create a good fabric with your yarn
-575 6/0 seed beads in Color A and 500 6/0 seed beads in Color B, crochet hook for placing beads
