Beaker Folk
by Smudge Yarns
A simple yarn over motif which can be easily extended to make a small or large shawl.
Named for the Bell Beaker Folk - a cultural phenomonon in prehistoric Europe - this pattern evokes the classic shape of the beaker pottery these people used to drink meade and beer.
Shawlette measures 15 inches long, shawl measures 22 inches long. Center motif repeated 4 times yields a shawl 50 inches long. Additional repeats are easily added to customize size.
