Right people - you asked for a Beanie Hat Dub style and this is it! I didn’t say you had to take it seriously but if you don’t mind a bit of a laugh why not eh?!

This is beanie hat is based on the iconic VW Splitty, Splitscreen, Kombi, Bus…………whatever you like to call it.

It doesn’t take a huge amount of yarn so it’s great for using up those odd balls of yarn you’ve not been sure what to do with!

What you’ll need:

I’ve based this pattern using double knitting (DK/Worsted Weight/8ply) yarn on UK no. 8 and 9 needles (US size 5 and 6, metric 3.75 and 4mm). You just need three colours - one for the body, one for the roof & bumpers (fenders) and one for the windows. You’ll also need a large button for the badge.

You’ll need a good knowledge of knitting as there is shaping on the crown of the hat and of course you’ll be working with more than 1 colour.

The pattern is my own design so please just keep it for yourself.
