Beanie - “Heidi”
I designed this hat for one of my best friends.
We both love the colour bordeaux (port wine) and her favourite colour is light blue (eggshell). We live quite a ways apart and to make the distance feel not so far I made this beanie for us to be connected by wearing this same hat.

Fair Isle, stranded colourwork, jacquard, two colours per round

XS/S 52-54cm, (M/L) 56-58cm, {L/XL} 58-60cm

Hat height (incl. ribbing): ~21cm

Jamieson’s of Shetland - Spindrift, 100% wool, yardage 105m/25g
Model colours: MC: Port Wine (293)~18g, CC1: Sunset (186)~15g,
CC2: Eggshell (768)~7g, CC3: Crimson (525)~4g, CC4: Maroon (595)~5g,
(Alternative suggested yarns: Jamieson & Smith, Isager Strik Tweed,
Rauma Finullgarn or any other yarns with similar properties)
Gauge
30sts x 32rnd = 10cm x 10cm (stranded colourwork in the round)
Needles
double pointed needles or short circular knitting needles or at least 32” long circulars for magic loop
Suggested size: 3,0mm/US 2½ for main section and
2,5mm/US 1½ for ribbing & crown shaping

Stitch marker, scissors, sewing needle
