Beanie in Overlay Crochet
This beanie is worked in overlay crochet technique.
Overlay Crochet is deeply rooted in cable and Aran crochet. It creates effects that can only with difficulty be made with traditional techniques. You have symmetrical patterns overlaid with different floral, linear or geometrical patterns as you may find on traditional mosaics, tiles or even mandalas.
Size:
S/M/L (21-22”/22-23”/23-24”- 54-56/56-58/58-60 cm head circumference)
The part of the beanie in overly crochet technique has a height of 2.4”/6 cm.
Gauge:
The part of the beanie in overly crochet technique: 4 “x 4” = 18 sc x 20 rds
The part of the beanie in rib pattern: 4 “x 4” = 18 dc x 14 rds
For the beanie I used worsted weight yarn and the hook US 6/4 mm.
The pattern is featured with detailed instructions. Each round of the project will be explained through a written instruction and one or more pictures (13 pages).
The pattern contain comprehensive informations on supplies, abbreviation keys, stitch dictionary, stitch count and extra notes to help explain the process.
